Surround MasteringAny monitoring environment using near field speakers for the rear channels, compromises the engineers ability to shape the low frequencies, and set the critical balance between the speakers and the LFI channel. It is also critical to provide the enormous power required to smoothly deliver the unconstrained dynamic range of 24-bit multi-channel audio.Ted Jensen’s studio is outfitted with five B&W 801 Nautilus loudspeakers powered by four Classe Omega power amplifiers. Ryan Smith’s studio is outfitted with five Energy Veritas loudspeakers powered by four Hafler Trans-Nova power amplifiers.
